CORRINE | THIS IS ME

In the questionnaire I give all the participants of the “This is Me” series Corrine mentioned that her profession has made her giving and generous and wanting to heal. I could feel this the moment she walked in the room.

With an infectious smile and beautiful dimples, Corrine lit up the studio.

Having a mother lead by her actions, “a plus sized queen who wore what she wanted with confidence and pride,” Corrine learnt from an early age not to conform to the pressures of society on what is deemed beautiful or acceptable.

“My idea of beauty is self love. It is SO hard to do with the pressures of society. I think everyone is unique and, of course, has elements of conventional beauty, but if you can look in the mirror and the smile reaches your eyes as you look at yourself, well, that’s beautiful.”

It was so refreshing for me to meet someone who was so comfortable with their own body. Someone who not only accepted, but celebrated her stretch marks and curves. I honestly wish for every woman to be able to find this acceptance and self love.

Corrine is also an runs her own vegan friendly, mobile and all inclusive beauty service called Empowering You Beuty. You can check her out on instagram at https://www.instagram.com/empoweringyoubeauty
