#11 Faces Project - Lauren
For some people, actually, scratch that, for a lot of people the idea of stepping in front of a camera and trusting someone to take great photos of you is very scary thing. It is a big deal and definitely not in their comfort zone. That is why Lauren decided to participate in the Face Project - it was a great opportunity to add another experience to her year.
“ … [this was] a year for me to step out of my comfort zone in many ways, including this experience, and to have a photo where I feel strong, confidence and powerful – a wonderful reminder of what I have achieved.”
Lauren is a high school teacher that wants to live by the values that she teaches her students – you need to push your boundaries and do things that are out of your comfort zone to grow and expand. She told me that she had jumped out of a plane among other things last year, and that the photo shoot was right up there with that.
She tells me that the whole experience was so much fun – from the initial consult, she tells me that the preparation was exciting, the day was such fun and the viewing of her images after was very empowering.
“I was excited to see parts of my personality show through in the various images – they show the person that I truly hope I am.”
Lauren chose a picture of her in a black lace top because it
“…shows the strength and confidence that I feel encapsulated the 2018 year that was, which were my personal reasons behind wanting to participate in the project. Oh yeah, and I look pretty!
I felt supported and encouraged throughout the whole experience.”
