CHRYSTAL | THIS IS ME
“My mother always told me to wear sunscreen and clean my pores and use moisturising cream to protect my skin from ageing and harmful rays. It's a definite positive for me. I still continue to do this today.” This is one of my most favourite pieces of advice for beauty, one that Chrystal learnt from her mother, and one that I also taught from my grandmother.
And you know what – it definitely showed!
As a proud Kaurna and Narungga woman, Chrystal wanted to participate in the This Is Me series to create some memories to capture her your and to show aging gracefully.
We wanted to capture her strength and resilience; her power, and also her passion (and of that there is plenty!). We also wanted to capture the fun, carefree side of Chrystal.
I asked Chrystal if she had ever struggled with the idea of conventional beauty, and her reply was: “Not at all. I love being natural at times and wearing no makeup. And other times I like to dole up and be glamorous for certain occasions.”
True beauty for Chrystal lies in having a “genuine heart and being compassionate and kind.” Something I can truly agree with.
Also, Chrystal is getting married next week! So exciting! Let’s all wish her a wonderful and happy day!
